This policy (Privacy Policy) outlines how we manage your personal information on our website https://www.baringaprimarypandc.com.au/. Throughout the site, the terms 'we', 'us', 'our' and 'the P&C' refer to the Baringa State Primary School P&C Association.
We recognise that the privacy of our students, parents and citizens who share information with us is important. By dealing with the association, you consent to our use and disclosure of your personal information in the manner described in the Privacy Policy. The P&C operates under the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act of 1998, which sets standards for the collection, access, storage and use of personal information.
COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
The type of personal information the Baringa State Primary School Parents & Citizens Association collects depends on the nature of your dealings with us.
To be able to provide you with our services, we may need:

your payment particulars including credit card, account and BSB numbers (for the sole purpose of processing payments);

If you apply for a job with the P&C, you will be required to provide government-issued identification that enables us to identify you, and your right to work in Australia and for us to complete background and suitability checks. This will include your name, employment and educational background, and other personal information that the P&C may require you to provide, or which you choose to provide the P&C, in relation to your job application.

The P&C collects some information from you when you use the P&C website. Your use of the facilities and services available through the P&C website will determine the amount and type of information which the P&C collects about you. In general, the P&C will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to others. The P&C may however disclose your information:
to credit reporting agencies and courts, tribunals or regulatory authorities where you fail to pay for services provided to you;
where the P&C is required by law to disclose information to third parties;
in certain circumstances to the Department of Education or organisations offering products and services which the P&C considers may be of interest to you for direct marketing purposes;
where the P&C has outsourced functions to third-party contractors, suppliers or brokers. In order for us to provide our services, we may share your personal information with a contractor, supplier or broker only to the extent necessary for them to provide their services to us. We require our contractors, suppliers and brokers to undertake to comply with the Privacy Act 1988; or
third parties to collect and process data such as Google Analytics and WordPress Statistics or other relevant business
From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will use them for these new purposes only, data collected from the time of the policy change forward will adhere to our updated practices.
HOW YOU CAN ACCESS AND CORRECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
You can request access to your personal information by contacting the P&C using the contact information set out on the P&C website. Before the P&C is able to provide you with access to your personal information, the P&C will require proof of identity.
If any of the personal information you have provided to the P&C is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete (for example, if you move or change your phone number), please let the P&C know so that the P&C can update and/or correct your personal information.
If you find any inaccuracies in your personal information, please let us know as soon as you become aware of the inaccuracy.

We endeavour to protect any personal information that we hold from misuse and/or loss and to protect it from unauthorised access, modification and/or disclosure.
HOW DO WE DEAL WITH PRIVACY COMPLAINTS?
Your privacy is important to the P&C, and the P&C will make every effort to resolve your privacy concerns.
If you have a privacy concern, please Gather all supporting documents about the matters which concern you, think about the questions you want to be answered and decide on what you want us to do.
Then please email the P&C at pandc@baringass.eq.edu.au and the P&C will review and respond to your concerns in a timely fashion. Please do not send personal information within the email or attachments.
If the matter has still not been resolved to your satisfaction, you can telephone the Australian Information Commissioner’s hotline on 1300 363 992 or via the website http://www.oaic.gov.au.
UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
P&C reserves the right to make amendments to this Privacy Policy at any time. If you have objections to the Privacy Policy, you should not access or use the Site.
